An Experienced Family Run Business

Foxhill was founded in 2000 and is owned and run by Lesley Smith. The team boasts years of experience in the equestrian and events world ensuring that you and your horse receive the very best experience.

Lesley has regularly competed and been involved with eventing for the last 25 years. She has always bought and produced her own horses from green youngsters bringing them through to compete at BE Intermediate and 1 star  level as well as personally competing up to medium level with British Dressage.

Having gained her BHS Intermediate teaching certificate, Lesley’s teaching experience also spans 25 years. She has taught at all levels in all disciplines, helping riders achieve their personal goals ranging from local competitions through to BE Intermediate level.

Her passion for teaching has led her to become heavily involved with the Pony club where she is currently the chief instructor for the Grafton Pony Club.

Lesley’s sound knowledge and years of experience enable her to train and develop the horse and rider relationship; an area she feels is particularly relevant to ensuring the rider enjoys the time spent on their horse.

Andrew plays an active role in all of the events that take place throughout the year. He helps with many of the daily jobs that are required to maintain Foxhill to the highest of standards, including land maintenance and course preparation for competitions, camps and clinics.

Andrew is also a keen Eventer and has greatly benefited from the experience and facilities that Foxhill can offer. At 16 he was selected to represent the under 18’s Central Region Team at the National Finals held at Weston Park competing at 1 Star level.

He has since gone on to regularly compete at 1 Star and Intermediate level. Andrew graduated the Royal Agricultural University with a Degree in Rural Land Management, with a view to qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor.

Charles supports Foxhill in general business development work as well as helping with land maintenance and course preparation. His focus includes planning Foxhills larger events and identifying new opportunities for the farm.

He also creates and maintains anything 'IT' related for the business.

Whilst Charles remains heavily involved in the the family business, his 'full time' job is running the data company he founded in 2012.

Charles regularly shoots, is passionate about the countryside and can often be found helping with many day to day activities at the weekend or simply walking the family dog round the farm.
